The Role
We’re looking for a Digital PR Lead to own and evolve our Digital PR offering within a performance-led digital marketing agency.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can balance creative storytelling with data-driven results. You’ll lead strategy and delivery across key client accounts, build strong media relationships, and help scale a Digital PR function that is fully aligned with SEO and AI-led search.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping how Digital PR contributes to client growth, agency positioning, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management
– Own and Lead the agency’s Digital PR strategy, roadmap, and function
– Set and uphold standards across outreach quality, campaign ideation, and reporting
– Champion best practice across Digital PR,SEO, and AI-driven search
– Work closely with SEO, Content, and Leadership teams
-Support the future line management and development of a growing PR Team

Client & Commercial Ownership
– Manage and grow senior client relationships across key accounts
– Act as a trusted strategic advisor, leading client communications and reviews
– Identify upsell opportunities and contribute to PR-led revenue growth
– Support new business pitches through strategy development and presentations

Digital PR Strategy & Delivery
– Develop and execute proactive and reactive Digital PR campaigns
– Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts
– Personally manage high-value media relationships and top-tier opportunities
– Lead campaign ideation and storytelling across press releases, data led campaigns, and thought leadership
– Oversee the creation of campaign assets, briefing designers where needed
– Monitor journalist requests (e.g. ResponseSource, #JournoRequest) and identify reactive opportunities

SEO, Data & Performance
– Ensure Digital PR activity aligns with SEO objectives and organic growth
– Analyse and report on campaign performance (Ahrefs, GA4,GSC), turning insight into action
– Own reporting on link quality, authority, and relevance
– Monitor competitor activity to identify opportunities and trends

AI, Innovation & Thought Leadership
– Stay at the forefront of AI, LLMs, and evolving search behaviour
– Adapt PR strategies to maximise visibility in AI-driven search environments
Contribute to agency thought leadership through:
– Active presence on LinkedIn
– Sharing insights on Digital PR, SEO, and AI
– Supporting webinars, events, or industry contributions

About You
You’re an experienced Digital PR professional with a strong track record of delivering campaigns that drive authority, links, and measurable impact

You combine creativity with commercial awareness, and you’re confident leading both client relationships and strategic conversations. You’re naturally curious about how AI and search are evolving, and you’re excited by the opportunity to shape a growing Digital PR function.

You’re also a clear and compelling communicator, able to turn ideas and data into stories that resonate with both journalists and clients.

Skills & Experience

Essential

– Proven experience in Digital PR or earned media, ideally within a digital or SEO-led agency
– Strong track record of delivering impactful PR campaigns
– Established relationships with journalists and media contacts
– Experience leading client relationships and strategic discussions
– Strong storytelling and written communication skills
– Ability to deliver against KPIs, SLAs, and client expectations
– Commercial awareness, including upselling or supporting growth

Desirable
– Experience working closely with SEO teams and organic growth strategies
– Understanding of AI, LLMs, and evolving search trends
– Experience contributing to new business pitches
– Thought leadership through content, speaking, or industry engagement
– Experience mentoring or managing team members
