The ethical fashion market is predicted to hit more than £8billion by 2025

But are consumers convinced yet on the benefits of switching to greener products? Our Green Fashion Report produced in partnership with Quickfire Digital, suggests that more work is needed to convince consumers, particularly men.

Using search data, we have uncovered how customers in the U.K have adapted to this growing market and the impact of the pandemic on this sector.

Highlights from the research include:

  • Searches for the term ‘second hand clothes’ is up YoY by 50%, yet searches for ‘preloved mens clothes’ is down by 25%
  • Searches which include terms such as ‘sustainable’ and ’eco friendly’ in relation to brands are down overall which suggests that more work needs to be done by brands in order to create more of an impact on consumers
  • The interest in ‘recycling clothes’ has increased, however, this was impacted by Covid 19
