The digital world is constantly developing and with it, a demand for new specialists has been created. Although the basic concepts, such as paid advertising, are commonly understood, the digital world is vastly broad and often it’s hard to get a grasp of how it all works.
Our webinar ‘Getting to Grips with Digital Marketing’ covers just that, giving you a straightforward introduction to the world of digital marketing.
Frankie opened by giving an overview of the landscape of the digital world. She discussed how digital marketing agencies interact with clients, the fast evolution the digital world has gone through, for instance, the drastic shift from desktop to mobile use, and the direction in which digital is heading.
She followed up by explaining the difference between paid and organic marketing, clarifying how each of these is used to reach different goals, how they reach customers at different stages of the sales funnel, and how they are measured. She also touched on some new trends in ads, such as video, highlighting the fast-paced changes taking place in the digital world and the need to do research before deciding on a strategy.
For those looking to get into digital marketing, or find their specialty, Frankie emphasised the commitment needed to constantly hone your skills and keep up to date with trends. She also invited the participants to reflect on where their skillset and interest fit in.
